Yes, we require a refundable deposit equal to one month's rent at the time of rental. This deposit will be returned to you when you move out of the unit, provided there is no damage or outstanding balance.
We offer a grace period of five days past the due date for payments. After that, a late fee will be applied to your account. If you are unable to make a payment, please contact our office to discuss your options. We have the right to block access to units until paid.
Yes, each door comes equipped with an electronic lock that will have a code unique to you. All upstairs units will have a unique code to the elevator (for items only, not for use of people). There will also be a unique code to get in the building.
CASH IS NOT ACCEPTED. Accepted forms of payment include: Auto pay from a debit card, credit card or bank account payable at tellcityrentals.com. and by check payable to Tell City Rentals and mailed or hand delivered to 818 Tell Street, Ste. 2, Tell City, IN 47586. Our office also has a secure drop box if payments are made after business hours. Payment of monthly rent and other charges permitted by this Agreement shall be made on time. You will not receive monthly bills or statements.
We will send you a copy of the lease agreement via email once you submit your application and first payment. You can sign it and email it back or deliver it to our office at 818 Tell Street, Suite 2 in Tell City, IN. Keep in mind you will not get access to the facility until we receive a signed copy of the lease.
Yes, you can access your storage unit 24/7 with your unique door access code.

Storage units can be used for a wide range of items. For things that can’t be stored in storage units, the general rule is that anything that is edible, illegal, flammable or combustible, or that will rot and attract insects and/or rodents can NOT be stored.

No. If lighting is needed, we sell battery operated lighting for a modest fee. The hallways are lit so there is partial illumination in each room.
NO! It is illegal to sleep or live inside a storage unit and we have a zero-tolerance policy against this. This creates safety and liability hazards, so anyone caught sleeping or “living” in a storage unit will be required to leave the premises immediately and must vacate the storage unit within 14 days.
You will need to provide a valid, government-issued form of identification (e.g., driver's license, state ID or passport).
Give a 10 day notice and let us know when you have vacated your unit so you do not incur any unnecessary charges.
Yes. It will be up to the individual to obtain insurance to protect their items. Please provide proof of insurance when you submit your signed lease.
